There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word,. which means more to me than any other. That word is England.
The title are the words of Winston Churchill. Who can argue with that saying. For far too long it appears we have felt ashamed to be English and to be proud of that fact. Today St Georges Day is the perfect day to remind everyone who is English to fly the flag of St George, surely we can celebrate our National Day, like others do.
So true are the words of a mighty man, that I will not stand in a crowd and shout “I love England”. It is to late to not offend. Each stepping stone of political correctness is a devine idea to which noone knows where it will end. Our battle is long but never will it be a burden.
6RlPIZ Got it! Thanks a lot again for helping me out!
I was quite shocked to see that I can not read the whole of the speech by Sir Winston Churchill, this is all I can find…..
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word that means more to me than any other. That word is ” ENGLAND “. Once we flaunted in the face of the whole world like a banner. It was a word of power, but today we are scarcely allowed to mention the name of our Country.
I want to revive the grand old name of ” ENGLISHMAN “.
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill. ( 1874 – 1965 )
